Our Programs

We understand children construct their knowledge of the world through active participatory learning. Guided by the emergent Ohio-approved Teaching Strategies curriculum, teachers provide space, time, support, and a variety of materials to stimulate and challenge children to discover, and problem-solve.

Our students engage in self-initiated and teacher-initiated activities as they explore materials, reflecting on their actions to integrate new experiences into their existing knowledge.Teachers play alongside children, observing, listening, and conversing with children about what they are doing and thinking. These observations and conversations provide teachers with the knowledge necessary to extend each child’s learning.

INFANTS

Ages: 6 weeks - 18 months

Our infant room provides a nurturing environment for babies to grow and explore.

Teachers learn the language of each infant and individualize routines and schedules to promote a sense of safety, comfort, and predictability.

Teachers reinforce each child's emerging language, by building vocabulary with books, songs, dialogue, and new sensory experiences.

TODDLERS

Ages 18 months - 2 1/2 years

Our toddler room provides a rich environment for active learners to engage the world around them. The vibrant space supports the physical, social, and intellectual growth of children.

Teachers create learning areas filled with interesting, meaningful, and hands-on materials to explore and create.

Classroom routines offer a stable environment that allows each child to develop new skills at his or her own rate.

Children exercise choice within a predictable framework to grow in independence and a sense of self.

Learning areas such as dramatic play, library, building, small manipulative, sensory, art, and writing provide a learning environment that sparks all areas of a child's development.

Children develop sound awareness through conversations, words games, songs, chants, and stories that pave the way for reading skills
